In Malaysia, all communication related equipment are regulated by SKMM under the Communications & Multimedia Act 1998. It is mandatory for all communication equipment to be certified before it can be used, offered for sale or sold in Malaysia where a one-time certificate of conformity (COC) per model basis will be issued by SIRIM to applicant. Only Malaysian registered companies are qualify to be applicants and these companies would be the IOR of the products type approved for inbound shipments into Malaysia.

 

Since we are a Malaysian registered company, we are able to represent clients, those without local presence in Malaysia, as the IOR and/or EOR for their shipments. We are capable of acting as the legal importer and exporter of goods without having ownership over the goods. 

 

While being technically responsible as the importer and exporter, our job scope includes obtaining import permits and labels from SIRIM wherever necessary, export permits and liaison with clients’ appointed forwarding agents and/or courier companies for shipment clearance and delivery.
